Alcohol Suspected as Factor in Fatal Collision

Police believe drunk driving may be to blame after a driver was killed hitting a taxi van early in the morning on March 21st.

The incident occurred near Red Deer when a vehicle slipped over the centre line and crashed into a taxi van carrying four people.

The driver of the drifting vehicle died at the scene. The passengers in the taxi suffered serious, but non-life threatening injuries.

Police suspect alcohol was a factor in the crash.
