Driver Charged After Hitting Two Pedestrians

A 26-year-old London man is facing numerous charges after striking two pedestrians near Fanshawe College on Sunday, April 5th, 2009.

The two pedestrians, a 79-year-old man and a 50-year-old woman, were hit by a southbound vehicle while out walking and taken to hospital with serious injuries.

The driver of the vehicle left the scene, but was found by police shortly after.

He is charged with two counts of impaired driving, two counts of failing to remain at the scene and failing to provide a breath sample.
