A 27-year-old Kensington man was sentenced to eight months in prison and 18 months probation after driving drunk and injuring a friend. He’s also not allowed to drive for two years.
The incident occurred last June when the man was driving 160 km/h in an 80 km/h zone and his car went off the road and into a ditch. His friend was tossed 10 metres from the car and suffered serious injuries. The driver’s blood alcohol level was found to be twice the legal limit.
The man was charged with dangerous driving causing bodily harm and impaired driving
