Surrey Man Given Ten Year Driving Ban For Impaired Driving

A 63-year-old Surrey man has been sentenced to a 10-year driving ban and six weeks of house arrest for driving drunk and colliding with a transit police vehicle.

The man has a history of similar offences which date back to 1981. The most recent incident occurred when he turned into the path of the cruiser while driving in August, 2007.

He was arrested at the scene where two breath samples showed he was twice the legal limit.
