Three Drunk Driving Arrests Made in One Night

Belleville police were busy on Friday, March 27, 2009, making three impaired driving arrests in the span of just a few hours.

The first incident occurred around 8 p.m. when a vehicle was pulled over, allegedly for driving erratically. The 46-year-old driver was arrested and charged with impaired driving, having more than the legal blood-alcohol content and driving while disqualified.

Only minutes later police responded to a complaint of a vehicle allegedly driving along the sidewalk and hitting blue boxes. Police arrested and charged a 23-year-old man with driving with more than 80 mgs of blood-alcohol.

A few hours later at around 11:30 p.m., a local bar reported a male left a taxi – which bar staff had placed him in – and drove away in his own vehicle. Police found the car and took the 53-year-old male driver to the station. He provided breath samples and was charged with impaired driving and having more than the legal blood-alcohol content.
