Early morning on March 21st, a Cobourg police officer stopped a vehicle which was driving erratically. The officer quickly determined the driver had been drinking.
According to reports, the man said he had not been drinking, however he could not offer an explanation for why there was a half-consumed bottle of beer in his vehicle’s cup holder.
The 38-year-old driver was arrested and taken to the police station where he blew well over the legal limit.
He will appear in Cobourg court next month to answer to a charge of impaired driving.
