A 28-year-old Springwater, Ont. man is facing charges after allegedly driving 208 km/h while impaired.
The OPP said an officer pulled the vehicle over after observing the speed on his radar gun. While in pursuit, the vehicle crossed all three highway lanes and proceeded through a red light.
After stopping the vehicle, the officer noted the smell of alcohol on the driver’s breath. The accused was arrested and taken in for breath tests.
His vehicle has been impounded and his driver’s licence has been suspended for 90 days.
He will appear in Barrie court on May 4th.
