A six-year-old-boy and his aunt are in stable condition after being seriously injured when their van hit a pole on Sunday, March 29th.
The 35-year-old aunt has been charged with impaired driving.
The van was driving westbound when it went off the road and struck a pole. The boy suffered critical injuries after being thrown from the van when it rolled into a ditch.
His aunt, who also received life-threatening injuries, was trapped inside the van until firefighters cut her free.
The aunt, who is the boy’s guardian, has been charged with impaired driving causing bodily harm and exceeding the speed limit. She will appear in court at a later date.
